Kiawah Charm

It was such an honor to work on the wedding for Danielly and Roger Kagan last year at the The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.  It was the perfect day for a wedding...the sun was shining with a little ocean breeze.  Danielly wanted to bring the natural look of trees into every part of her wedding.  To soften the reception room, wee hung crystals everywhere and light up every area with gold votive candles. Her ceremony was the most gorgeous.  A rose petal carpet lead the Bride along the aisle toward an organic chuppah.  So lovely...

Green Weddings

Green was a very popular color last spring. Surprisingly, bright greens and antique ivory were a fabulous choice to compliment this navy colored wedding.  What a beautiful wedding this was out at Dunes West Golf & River Club.  Best wishes to you Dallas and Steve!

A Family Affair

As a dedication to Valentine's week, I wanted to remember one of my favorite weddings.  My sister's wedding was one of the best weddings we've had in the family (besides my wedding, of course - ha!).  Lani and Ken's wedding was captured by Edna Eudave of Square Eye Photography.  Edna did such an amazing job with these fun shots.  Of course I was tagged to do the flowers, which wasn't too much work.  I loved every moment of it.  Funny factoid about the wedding: Ken's family had 6 guests (including him and his parents) and our family had about 200 guests. Overall, we ALL had a great time!

The wedding was a cultural blend of Vietnamese with Japanese. I loved these shots that my cousin Dang took of Ken's family getting ready.  These kimonos are amazing...and who knew how labor intensive it was to put one on...even for the guys.

I especially loved that my little nephew was dressed in a kimono too.  Adorable!!!

A Chic Beach Wedding - Southern Style!

One of my favorite weddings in 2009.  I had the best time working with Amanda on her wedding details.  Amanda is a boutique store manager and designer, so she knew she wanted lots of style for her wedding.  I chose mokara and vanda orchids to highlight the wedding colors - cranberry red and golden orange. I just love all the small touches that made this a true Chic Beach Wedding.

The wedding was held at the Charleston Harbor Resort out on the beach area. It was a gorgeous day for flip flops.  The aisle was marked with blooms of mokara orchids and highlighted with beautiful lanterns in her shades of orange and gold.  I could imagine walking down this aisle...so gorgeous!

The reception was held in the Atlantic Room.  It took us a while to hang all those paper lanterns - it was totally worth it!  I loved how the colors added more dimension to the room.

The guests were invited into the reception with these cute little handwritten cards by her mom.
